Hi,
been having a read of these forums and lot of people saying the Amex card is good due to cashback ( and it looks cool :rotfl: )
Currently just got an HSBC Gold credit card and spending ranges from £800 in a month to £100 depending on if i buy anything big, but always pay it off at the end of the month.
Looking at Amex's website i'd only getl ike 0.5% cashback so doesn't seem worth while, what do you reckon ?
Thanks

I got an Amex Card thinking of doing similar but with Nectar points, was going to drop all other Cards, but found there are still a lot of places that don't take Amex. So ended up with an additional card rather than a replacement.Cheers

Just noticed the morgan stanley card, think it would be better suited as i don't spend enough in a year, and black looks cool

Have had Amex a few times over the years and have always given up on them after a few months 'cos I got sick of being told "sorry, we don't take American Express". Yeah, you could have a backup card, but it's just a hassle as it happens so often and in places where you think they should take it. Doesn't make a blind bit of difference suggesting retailers to Amex as they never seem to get added in. That said, eventually Boots was taken on board, but John Lewis is still resisting.0

I've had Amex plat. for 3+ years, and have never had a problem, especially CS always seem to be very helpful. Just this week, I found I'd been told of the wrong level of cashback earned, called CS and they suggested that they credit my account with £10 for the inconvenience !! :rotfl:......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple
