Returning Painful (Worn) Shoes

Hi Everyone
I bought a pair of shoes from Dune for £75. I thought I would make an investment and buy expensive shoes that I can wear all the time.
It turns out that the shoes are impossible to walk in. I had to walk home barefoot because they were so uncomfortable.
When I tried them on in the shop, they were fine. Wearing them for more than 10 minutes, they leave you in agony.
I explained this to Dune store manager and she said because I wore them outside, there is nothing she can do. Not even a credit note.
I am really disappointed with this product. Do I have any rights in this case?
All suggestions welcome. Thank you for reading.

Sorry no, as they are not faulty you have no rights. Being uncomfortable is not the retailers fault as everyone has different feet.
Maybe they just need broken in, or try some insoles or heel grips maybe.
Heel grips sorted a pair for me that were killing my feet.0 -
Might be worth trying to break them n slowly - I've had pairs which have been difficult to wear, that once broken in have been great - likewise, I've had ones that were never comfortable.0

Have you never worn shoes before? Leather shoes take time to wear in. There is nothing wrong with them it was your responsibility to check they were fine before leaving the shop.0

You should have worn them for 10 minutes or longer at home0

I remember my first new pair of DocMartins, I honestly thought that I would end up with no skin left on my feet at all and down to the bone in places but they became the ones I could wear for a whole 12 shift without any problems.There is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin, and roam the world at will.

Actually, you DO have some rights!
I had the same issue with a pair of shoes from Next, and after wearing them for a short period of time, they ripped all the skin off the back of my heel. I let my feet repair, tried braking the shoes in by wearing them indoors, and then wore them out again, and yet again, after a short walk, they ripped all the skin off my heel. Clearly a design fault and badly fitting shoes. I'd had Next shoes before that I had no problems with.
I took them back to Next, showed them the skin hanging off (I had to wear flip flops!!), and was given a credit note, as they were quite clearly not fit for purpose.
My advice is to persevere with the shoes FOR NOW (trying to brake them in indoors), then attempt another outdoor walk in them (take flipflops!!), and if you have the same issue, show them the wounds, and see what they say.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Thank you everyone for your comments.
I really can't bare walking in them again. Such a shame. I thought expensive shoes would be comfortable!
Pinkshoes I think you were lucky with the store manager you got. The one I spoke to didn't really care! But then again, I didn't have injuries to show because I couldn't wear them for long enough!
Thanks again
