tesco clubcard vouchers and best western hotels

We have booked concert tickets for next may in London, and decided that we would use our £100 worth of clubcard vouchers to stay at a hotel.

I did a lot of research, on tripadvidsor, and decided on the Mostyn hotel in london, by the best western chain.
I checked on the pdf page, that this hotel was not on the list of hotels that couldn't be used.

I rang the number on the page, and spoke to someone, who checked my dates, and said yes the hotel was available, and gave me a price of £390, she told me to send my vouchers off and when i receive my tokens to ring back and i could pay the balance of £20 on my card. (i knew all of this anyway)

So today with £370 worth of tokens i ring up again, only to be told that the mostyn isn't included in the deal, so i asked why was i told it was, and given a price, also why is the hotel, is not on the list of hotels, that you can't use.
She couldn't answer that, then she said that, when i rang l]a couple of weeks ago checking that the hotel was available it may have been, but now on the live price check, they are not taking any clubcard token bookings.

I told her that i thought that this was wrong, and when i contacted them at 1st, i should have been warned that when i have my tokens there is a chance that you won't be able to use your tokens.
