Pre payment overcharge

About 2 years ago NPower changed prepayment meters and since then we have been charged the highest tariff on economy7. The main problem with this is we dont have electric central heating. How do we get the tariff changed and are we entitled to reclaim the overcharge!!:(

I don't think nPower offer any alternative rates to their PPM customers.

You are being charged E7 rates because you presumably have a dual rate meter.

If you no longer wish to be charged on a dual rate basis, have you considered contacting your supplier to see what they can do for you?

  • They did change it without anyone being here and after a heated discussion said that because the previous owners of the house opted for E7 then thats what they automatically put on their pre-payment meter. NPower also stated that they could replace the meter in about 6 weeks time. They also do not offer any refunding.
