Well I got home from work, but it is terrible out there. The weather is not looking too clever for this evening either.

My sister just texted to say the plane has just landed (I replied where? hehe) So she must have been circling Newcastle Airport waiting to land not waiting to take off from Heathrow - that explains the 17.43 expected time of arrival on the website - but she did say 'all the lights have failed on the runway so no flights can take off till they find out what the fault is and fix it" I didn't know that you could make mobile calls when in flight either

At least she is back safe - well she will be getting metro from airport which takes her, after a change en-route, to a station about 800 yards from her house - but remember, she is terrified of walking on snow and ice after two broken wrists :eek: :eek:

Main roads are clear but my street is v icy as it is a little one and it doesn't get gritted. i will not be able to walk in for a while but i was so good at work today. :j
