  • Dad's hero was President Kennedy but he died when he was a child so he didn't get the chance. He loved John Lennon and Elvis too. He knows everything about Football too. He is a genius as well and my hero. goodnight.

Well, I guess by reading all that, there ain't much of that bottle of whisky left is there dear

I am sitting down here watching Mam at the moment - I came at 9.40 am to find Mam awake, just, but with nebuliser on but pulled down her face, and it must have been finished quite a while as it waas bone dry (a nebuliser pumps air through a chamber out into a fact mask, and the air picks up the phial of salbutamol which is put in the chamber, to form a vapour which is breathed in naturally - it goes for about 12-15 minutes before the vapour stops but the machine is not on a timer and will just keep pumping air through until it is switched off. Normal, even after the vapour has stopped, there is still condensation left in the chamber) so I don't know how long it had been on, and how mucch longer it would have been on, as the next time a carer came down this corridor to see her, was an hour later  They checked her and I asked them to straighten her up as she keeps slipping to one side which makes her breathing more difficult

Then at 11 am, nurse came and put her drip back in, in another place this time. Mam woke up so a few minutes but struggled to talk and fell fast asleep again

Carer has just been in with some pureed lunch for her and, cause they shout to get their attention, she managed to get her to eat about a third of it, plus a couple of sips of orange squash. Then she fell asleep again

It was fine here, it didn't rain. I babysat nieces - they are still here - we went to their school fayre - and then we bought a new phone (or rather 4) - we got a bit carried away. Now we are collapsing as we are shattered. How was your day ladies?
