France hostel advice please

I teach students with mild to severe learning difficulties and disabilities at a college and every year organise a trip to a youth hostel within the UK, for some reason last year I suggested I could do one in France, but not having much luck at the moment.

Planning on going for four days, 2 of which will pretty much be taken up with travelling, but a lot of the students will never have the chance to go abroad. We will be running 'beginners' french lessons in the weeks leading up to the trip, so a chance for them to use these skills will be great

We're looking for somewhere about an hour North of Disneyland Paris (so we could go for one of the days) with things to do in the area such as castles, lakes, walks etc.

Anybody any ideas as to where to go?

Planning on going in May 2011, but obviously need to get letters out, risk assessments etc. done.

Thanks loads if anyone can help
