Spam Attacks

Since the welcomed implementation of the Spam buttons, there still seems to be issues with spam attacks on this website. I was wondering if as an additional solution qould be to put a post limit on new users?

It may be unworkable, but I do think that putting a cap on the number of posts, it may be easier for the site team and users alike to have something like this in place.

A cap on how many posts by a new user may work not sure if it can be implemented though and then you always get odd one who is legit just happens to want to make a load of post that day they join

there are obvious spammers that dont get banned though, there is one person who shall remain nameless, has made about 8 threads on subway, all got locked because they are obvious complete fabrications yet they dont get banned

they just come back day after day with another set of lies
