Really bad experience with Asda home delivery

You say stick to Tesco OP but in my opinion they are worse.
Late deliveries
missing items
poor substitutions
close to date items
They all have there good points and bad points, the only way to get it 100% right is to go to the shop in person.
I have hardly ever had a problem with Tesco, or sainsburys. Yes you get occasional missing items, or poor subs, but you can send them back and they don't quibble when you say things haven't arrived but you have been charged. And they don't if they have given you close to date items and not warned you. they just refund. And the refund is generally in the next day even if its pence.
Now Asda, I have had problems everytime. Ranging from cancellation of order half hour after 2 hour time slot, to bags of missing items, and now missing refunds weeks later. And when I mentioned it on facebook there were plenty that said why do I use them as they wouldn't touch them. Not one person that said they hadn't had a problem.
Its ok saying go to the shop in person, how do you get there if the shop is 15 miles away, you have no car, and its 2 bus routes plus long walks either end. Could you carry £100+ worth of shopping back? Some of us have no choice but to rely on them or its beans on toast from the corner shop every night

I didnt say that everyone can shop in person, I said its the only way to guarentee 100% shopping
My local big supermarket isnt accessible for me either, and in my opinion the best is Ocado.
Tesco, Sainsburys and Asda all have there problems. Its all very well you saying that if an item is missing or you get a bad sub that they refund straight away but thats no good if its a key ingredient for a recipe.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. I use tesco a lot and never had a problem .. if so its been sorted very quickly..
Waitrose and ocado are the best
Sainsburys was dire ..4 hours late and forgot things like milk tea and bread.. sorry not available
Asda is the worst .. rude drivers .. dodgy subs .. i had ordered some loo roll and was given a ream of inkjet paper, liver pate they gave us a can of dog food, box of tissues they gave us cotton wool buds .. never again..
I need home shopping as my mum is disabled and i don't really get a chance to get out and shop ..
Hopefully morrisons will be trailing home delivery soon .. and fingers crossed it takes off .. love morrisons but to far me to go ..:(0 -
I'd agree and say that Ocado are the best. I tend to stock up once a month and they send regular vouchers for discounts, like 20% of your bill which is handy. There is a minimum spend that's usually quite high, but if I'm stocking up then I'll intend to spend that much anyway.
The service is always good, I've only ever had one substitute.Never argue with an idiot; they'll bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.0 -
I have only used Tesco and Asda. Tesco used to cancell on the evening of delivery a few times in a couple of years saying the van broke down. I now have morning deliveries booked and not had that problem. Tesco have the advantage of one hour time slots in my area, whereas Asda have two hours. Also where Tesco are better is you can state an alternative to a product - what type of alternative you want. Asda on the other hand you have to tick if you want an alternative, and leave it to their initiative to choose the substitution, and often it was not what I wanted. Therefore I stick to Tesco because I need to make sure I get what I choose, or the alternative to the product I choose, as I do not go shopping at all and rely on home delivery for groceries.0
