We seem to have an infestation of mice at work... noticed this morning that the droppings have increased loads, plus they ate the whole of my alpen bar and nibbled on my satsuma the little beggars! So got some traps down now, will see in the morning if they worked.

Find out where it is getting in. You need to stop more from getting in or there is little point in just killing it.

I live in an old house and it's taken OH and myself a few years of blocking air bricks with fine mesh, filling any holes in the walls, no matter how small and even checking round barge boards up at roof height for possibly entry points because, boy, can they climb walls.

We tried bait the first year in the house and that just was eaten and more mice took the place of the previous visitor. Waste of time and money.

I have never had them inside the "living" part of my house, but we used to hear them all the time in the walls and up in the roof. Since last winter, not heard anything so finally seem to have stopped them getting in the house.

Our detatched outbuilding, well, that's another story. Baited traps last year (peanut butter is the preferrred bait for our local mice) and we had over 100 by the end of the winter. Yes, OH kept a tally!!

They are just starting to come in again now the weather is getting colder and get caught. So here we go again.

And that's with two cats in the house (house cats) and a wild cat roaming outside.

    Good luck.

  • Well that's exhausted your entire knowledge of mice. All of which was wrong. Don't lecture on things you know nothing about.

You seem to be getting very het up about little mice. Not sure why.

I don't agree with you but won't get so stroppy about things. I don't think saying that mice are wild animals is wrong.
