Eon energy fit starter pack

Hi,

I have an Eon energy fit starter pack, which requires me to connect a device to my outside electricity meter, is this safe with it being outdoors?

Also, my meter box door has been broken off since I moved in a few years ago and after just speaking to Eon was told it wasn't their responsibility to fix the box - does anyone know where I can pick a new door up from?

There are no problems with the device going outside as long as it is not subject to water. The door should adequately protect it for there to be no issues, you might want to tie it up inside the box somehow so it is not sat on the bottom just in case there are any pools of water on the bottom but otherwise it will be fine.

I have tried googling it in the past but just wondered if there was a general place where people on these forums went for such items.
