MS Office 2010 - can work be saved as older versions?

Can anyone who has used this confirm whether it is possible to save work 'as' older versions please?
I know you can do this with previous versions of Office.

DD wants Office for her laptop but will need to be able to save work as 2003 or 2007 files in order to be compatible with school computers.

Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

I thought it probably could, but wanted to be sure before purchasing.
