Hi I'm hoping some of you wonderful people can help me decide on a laptop for sons birthday come christmas pressie
I've previously only bought from Dell so would prefer to stick with them and have a budget of £350-£400 tops.
He generally uses for youtube, msn, facebook etc. I keep hearing about this dual core thingy but really haven't got a clue what I'm looking for!! A built in webcam would be fab but not completely essential.
Any help greatly appreciated!!

In mid September I bought a brand new "eee PC 701" sub-notebook for a whisker under £100 via eBay. This has a built in web cam / USB slots / Audio in & out / SD card reader etc.
I liked this device so much that I bought another (albeit 2nd hand ) as a spare - for which I paid £70.
Perhaps this may be of interest.
Unless your son uses very resource heavy software (eg High Definition games etc) and from your description this is not an isssue, then you really don't need to worry too much about Dual-Core.

What do you guys think of these please? I have some tesco vouchers that could get me £140 off either!

if I had to choose between the two, I'd go for the slightly more expensive, as it already has 3GB RAM in it..........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
Thankyou, but are they any good or complete rubbish??Some people see the glass half full, others see the glass half empty - the enlightened are simply grateful to have a glass0
