I got one too (do they send one to everyone in the country, like the census?) but binned it.
I think a crumpled look black mac might have got me some funny looks around the neighbourhood anyway, so it's probably for the best.
Good point :rotfl:
& with that single sentence you have just cured me ... off to the recycling bin it goes. Is the census on quidco ? I do like my cashback.

Aaaaaggggh tv dilemma :
Waking The Dead which I love or the clever Solar System programme which makes feeds my brain & DD got school team points for watching last week ?0 -
I managed to multi task, I watched Waking the Dead whilst eating a chicken burger from King Rooster (am somewhat alcoholically affected) and doing a survey from top secret survey company.
Pictures from Japan are awful and terrifying all at once.I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
Lol to cashback and I cant do Scary telly at all. Signal is carp at the mo, dont know if it's due to switchover or just the constant bad weather so listened to Aphrodite by the lovley Kylie instead. Love it!'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Must remember to watch part 2 tomorrow ... clever science stuff can wait for another day.
My brain is all full of figures - I've been working out the budget up to DF DAY & as long as we can live on 58p per week - t'will all be fine :rotfl:
Hope to make a £100 payment tomorrow - must remember to pay the £30 from friend for secret gig tickets into the bank. If they stay in purse too long they'll become absorbed into my personal funds & next thing you know I'll have another pair of shoes .
I must confess to a cheeky ebay win on a nice looking slouchy black bag. Much as I do like the one I bought last year & it is great for work - very big & with compartments it doesnt really sling over my shouder very well - too structured & I like really slouchy ones for home use ... the sort of bag that can fit a cardi in but squishes into any shape. I have enough cash in my paypal bank account to cover this & still have £10 left in case any other bargains appear
DD & I have been tackling her room pretty much all day while keeping an eye on the rugby although it didnt really grip me today. She has finally allowed me to shift all the furniture around so it looks more cosy & as her sister gave her an old tv, I've set that up in the corner & she has a brilliant picture so can watch her saturday morning tv from her bed. I still havent built the wardrobe as we've been having a mexican stand off for months.
I have refused to decorate & refurnish until she keeps it clean & tidy; she has insisted on hiding her lunch & school library books under the bed & using the chair, floor, bench & anything other than the clothes rail or drawers to store her clothes .
Today we filled 3 bin bags of rubbish & can pretty much stock our own charity shop with her grown out of clothes & unwanted books, puzzles, toys etc. 50 bloody Puppy/Kitty/Jungle In My Hoover things, another 50 little plastic multi coloured 'GoGos' (sp ?) & an entire trees worth of club penguin card jitsu cards.
The job is now done & we now just need to choose some bed linen, curtains & a couple of rugs & buy the paint. Hoping to complete it within a £200 budget - not yet sure how to finance it but I want to get it done during the next school hols - April
I'm seriously contemplating who I can flirt/seduce/coerce into decorating her room for cheap. I hate, hate, hate painting ceilings - makes me cross. Happy to do the floorboards which is the plan but I cant believe that anyone will do it for my ideal price which is about £50 :rotfl:
Hope to do cinema tomorrow, have parents consultation on tuesday + home-job, home-job on wed, thursday will be chill out evening & then friday I'm due to meet friend for coffee & saturday will be for visting rellies.
I've got my food for the week all sorted & have plenty of stuff to feed DD too so no worries there. I made some diet-friendly oatbran cakes for snacks so I'm not tempted by luscious things & hope to lose another 2lbs this week.
Need to get some sleep now so will report any debt busting tomorrow.
G'night

Presumably you would have mentioned if the solar system programme involved Brian Cox... as that would be an important part of the deliberations

Hi Rosa - actually it did involve Brian Cox, but I may well be the only female who finds him interesting & inspiring, yet not not attractive. He does nothing for me. I do however, find Waking the Dead utterly fascinating - particularly how the psych doctor works through the unusual behaviour.
Taxi - thanks for the encouragement - you're doing rather well yourself :T
Dan - hello & thanks for the camper van nudgewonder if I could 'adopt' my neighbours. I havent opened my census yet
do hope there's no rush to get it done.
It's been quite a productive monday too; work is rather boring & quiet at the moment, so I'm having to amuse myself by sparring with Grumpy on an hourly basis. Today's highlights were me being called a gobby cow & him being told to f*** off, I'm fabulous.
I remembered to pay the cash in on my way home & also posted DDs film back to lovefilm.
Decided the rugs in the living room needed to be hoovered again, I'm determined to maintain the home regularly, rather than let it slide into chaos & then have to spend an entire weekend having to sort it out.
We had an early meal & then headed off to the cinema to see Rango which had some rather unsettling characters considering it's a pg, also, Johnny certainly wasnt looking his best, but it was only £10 for the two of us ( loving that cheap monday deal ) & as it was on before 6 that would have meant paying to park in the street so I just paid for cinema parking which was £3.30. On the plus side though, DD bought her own sweets & let me have some too ( naughty diet lapse there :shhh:)
I've paid £100 to Uncle Richard & am just relieved to be able to make a payment at all. Total debt now at £1250. I have worked out a schedule of my weekly payments up to the end of April but cant find where I put it so will have to share that riveting bit of info another time.
I'm tired now but have been sleeping well inspite of weird diet - last night was wonderful, the moon was so bright that I just lay there soaking up the light & getting energized.
I'm away to bed now
G'night
