Evans Orders Cancelled/Dispatched Updates

I had two orders cancelled, one for 'security' purposes and one because they were out of stock. Checked on the website and they weren't. Would rather Evans were just up front and said, 'we don't want to accept two codes at once/codes from a discount website' than blatently lying. Doesn't give me any faith in their customer service for other matters, therefore will be skipping this online store from now on.0

both of my orders were cancelled because they were "out of stock" and then i two was sent the same code for £5 off again ridiculous:rotfl:LaurenPenguin:rotfl:0

I ordered 2 pairs of tights using the £5 off and free delivery codes. Total should have been £10 plus delivery.
I think 20% came off automatically, the £5 and free delivery codes both worked, so I paid £3 in total for 2 pairs of high denier tights.
They arrived today.0 -
It seems they are honouring orders that were for a decent amount and cancelling the bargains?
I emailed and complained as i was emailed the voucher for no minimum spend and they replied saying sorry you used 2 codes together....then offered me £5 off and free delivery!!!!!!!!!!!em the same codes that i used lmao they are useless
I dont think thats the case. Apart from the one fiasco they made with me - they dispatched my other order which came to £0.00 not once but FOUR times. And also honoured and dispatched another order i did for 10p. So no one can really be sure how/why they are working it out like they are. Very very strange company.Having a coke with youis even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona0 -

ok girls i had a bit of success I think.
Phoned today, ready to flip my lid at them, but after some thought, realising i usually end up butting heads i decided to take a different approach and just be sickly overfriendly. anyay...
Phoned up. be prepared for a bit of a wait. I phoned on 3 occasions and it does give a queue position. lowest i got was 10th in the queue, which is about 8 minutes to be answered. After 8 minutes i got through to a useless operator who didnt seem to care. I gave my postcode and she asked if it was a topshop order. i said no so i got a reply "hang on a minute..." no further explanation but was put on hold for a further 7 minutes, taking the total time up to 15 minutes with only 30 seconds of talking in the middle. To make matters better the phone then disconnected itself after 15 minutes.
Needless to say i wasn't impressed, but i tried to keep my cool.
Called back again, and rather than push them to admit they had lied to me about the stock (i know they have lied, and having them admit it would be nice, but having the order would be even better). I took the clueless innocent approach, that i couldnt understand why the order as cancelled hen the items ere in stock. I think the operator was telling the truth and it seems the phone staff weren't given the answer, as she said that the warehouse had cancelled it, but was unable to find a reason. I asked if the order could be put back on. Was told this isnt possible but that they could do another order.
Obviously i didn't want to point out i had paid tuppence, so mentioned that the socks had 20 or 30% off and i dont think that is on there anymore. They agreed they could do the same price for me. It was a bit of a long process, but they got there, they knew i had free delivery. Just as i was about to pay i dropped the fact there was a £5 "gift card" i had redeemed. i'm not sure if the details of the discount are clear to the staff but i figured a gift card sounds better than a cheeky voucher. she said that would be fine. I then dropped that actually i had another order, and that this one had £9 off.
End result was that after the operator had spent 20 minutes with me, she probably didn't want to back down and say she couldn't do the order. Only downside was that i had to pay the full price, but will be refunded the difference.
If i dont get the refund i will of course be complaining. I probably would still keep the items, so i figure there isn't much to loose, and since it appears to be full price that bunch of stooges in their warehouse wont raise an eyebrow.
Will try and keep posted once i have confirmed the refund has been processed, but at the moment i'm optimistic.0 -
I ordered an £8 purse using the £5 off code and free delivery code so total spend was £3. Order cancelled due to 'security purposes.' Why issue a code if they're not going to honour it? So inconsistent.0
