well, the no mention of even a pound a month repayment plan is a bit of a give away for whether you want to pay or not; also the no contact for a long period of time.
However. Start by writing and asking for evidence that you owe the money, as at this point in time, you do not acknowlege that you owe anything.
Thanks Emmzi, I will do that. The none payment was not intentional but my financial situation could not permit me to do so at the time. It is in my iterest to clear the debt and I want to do so. I want to make sure that I dont make any mistake. Reading through the forum, it is very clear that lots of companies are trying any tricks to get money from people. The problem is that if one pays a wrong company then the problem continues.0 -

Why have you jumped to the conculsion they have bought the debt ? They may simply be collecting it on behalf of the creditor. In addition what do you think the deed of assignment has to look like ? It is nothing formal and only has to be a letter informing you they have been sold the debt - nothing more.
They have already supplied you with the CCA proving your debt - make contact with them to get an arrangement.0 -

Isn't it very unlikely that they would be able to send you a copy of the CCA without having had the debt assigned to them?
Should be easy enough to sort out if you contact the original creditor and ask them where the ("alleged") debt is now.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0
