DSA Website
Hello there,
My partner is learning to drive, after he passed his theory we booked his pratical by phone as soon as he left the building [which was for 2-weeks later] as I didn't have his driving instructors ADI to hand we only found out 3-days later that dates clashed with another pupil. A couple of days after I rescheduled the test, I made sure clearly that I did it properly and when I looked at his test details it displayed the new date - job done, or so I thought. I didn't give the e-mail over the phone, so just expected a post confirmation whilst wondering where it was I double checked to realise that the dates hadn't been changed... but it was now too late to alter the date.
I am absolutely fuming with the DSA website, just paid another £62 for the practical test. Sent a complaint e-mail, but I'm just wondering if anyone knows who else I can contact about this? Wish I'd just rescheduled by phone - no wonder I waited about 30 minutes to book it last time, seen lots of disappointed reviews of the DSA website whilst googling.

hey Kefte
Sorry to hear about your problem. I too am experiencing problems with them. Email their customer service
customer.services@dsa.gsi.gov.uk
and include 2 items of following ID (driving licence no, booking ref, theory certificate no.)
...and if you get no luck from them, follow their compliants procedure.
http://www.dft.gov.uk/dsa/category.asp?cat=664
I emailed regarding my problem, however the response I got was as if they had not even read my initial email :undecided I also tried calling 6 times this morning, but each time I had to wait just over 3 minutes (pressing options, listening to information) before I got a message that said they were too busy...... and then the line went dead
Here's the problem I have with them
19/11/10 – I booked my practical test online (I received a confirmation letter via email with a cut-off date for cancellation/changes of 26/11/10)
23/11/10 – I decided to change the date of my test and rescheduled for 14/12/10 @ 10:16. ( I DID NOT receive a confirmation letter for this! However I did notice the cut-off date on screen said 06/12/10) I also sent a SMS message to my instructor confirming the new date and time (I still have that SMS message).
04/12/10 – Due to bad weather, I hadn’t been out for any final lessons so decided to reschedule my test again. When I logged in, it told me that my test was due 07/12/10 @ 13:28, which was news to me. As far as I was concerned I had booked it for 14/12/10 @ 10:16 and was 2 days within my cut-off date. Subsequently I had cancel and forfeit my fee.
I'm waiting for a response but had to copy CEO in as well, as outlined in the complaints procedure.
I know when I've made a mistake and I'll always hold my hands up, but this is ridiculous. If they can't operate a system which works correctly then there's no point in using it. I have real reservations about booking another driving test now, what if I have to reschedule again?
Hope you get yours sorted Kefte :j
