Anyone dealt with Keiper instruments on ebay? I'm quite annoyed by them, bought a Bass guitar around a month ago and paid instantly through paypal. They ship from Germany where they are based(although registered in the UK?) and the listing says they deliver by Royal Mail taking 1 to 3 working days to the United Kingdom, which at first i thought was a bit ambitious but it's not really considering the UK part of it could be next day delivery. I've still not recieved the item although one email from them has confirmed it's still going to get sent. I have now looked at many of their completed listings and they always seem to take ages to deliver which annoys me as every single listing they have ever made says 1 to 3 days but they don;t appear to have ever came close to achieving this. If and when it finally does come and the item is as described and a good item what sort of feedback do you suggest i make?

I'm sorry but I've not heard of that seller so can't comment personally.
However, a month is a long time and I would strongly suggest you consider starting a paypal claim. I had to do the same myself this week with a uS seller who thought I was being pushy wanting my item posted quickly (ie 5 weeks after purchase). You only have 45 days to start the chargeback so don't leave it too long.
What I did was start a dialogue via paypal, not a full chargeback just basically rasing a query, when the response I got to that worried me I escalated it to a chargeback and luckily my seller refunded me in full a day later.

The perils of buying from the internet. There are some good stores on the net but in my experience if you got a local shop use them. Guitar shops are specialists. You might get it cheaper on the net but when things go wrong they go wrong. I stupidly ordered a guitar from ebuyer once and it arrived in a right damaged state and it took ages to get a refund.
Hope you get yer bass and all works out I would post a neutral adding a comment about poor delivery!0 -
At least one guitar seller on here has refused to sell a (non guitar) item on ebay because it did not fetch enough and really cannot understand why what he did was wrong.0

thanks for the help, i think i'll contact them again and dependant on the response start a chargeback. The only thing that is making me not do this is that they always seem to deliver in the end and it seems quite normal practice for these guys to take over a month to deliver the item(they are the manufacturer also and i suspect they make the items after they are sold)Bought, not Brought0

Bamber, your experience is exactly the same as mine, the seller looked OK but just couldn't see any problem with waiting well over a month to despatch. In the end I wouldn't risk getting too close to the 45 days and just did a chargeback.

What make is the guitar..was it expensive? I would say waiting a month for delivery is totally unexectable.0 -

Although in the latter case I'd have thought they would have given you some sort of delivery estimate.0 -
the make is Keiper, it's a budget German make and the seller is the manufacturer aswell. I play guitar but was looking for a bass and decided to go with the budget option for basic financial reasons and because it will be secondary to my guitar playing. They've been in touch a couple of times now explaining that they are having trouble with deliveries and manufacture which to be honest i think probably just means "oops we've forgotten to send it" they siad to expect delivery soon though.Bought, not Brought0
