I wouldn't, avast has a better detection rate, is less bloated, and is free. Add windows firewall and malwarebytes on demand scanner, both free, and that should protect you.

It depends on what are the particular risks to which your machine is exposed. It you don not use the internet but nevertheless use a lot of imported files then there would be less need for a firewall. If you surf then you'll need an av and a firewall.

Personally I would not buy av or firewall software when there are perfectly usable and functional av's and firewalls that are available free - and I mean free not trial versions. Most would recommend either Avast! or Avira for the antivirus and either that in Microsoft Security Essentials package or Comodo for the firewall but there are others. These are all good products that might not have the cachet of a Kaspersky but will do as good a job (sometimes better) and are above all free.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

if you bank with barclays you can get kaspersky free.. (well you download it and they will email you a license)

if you dont bank with them you could ask a freind or open an account and stick a £1 in..

or you could sign up to 3 trial editions of computer shopper for £1 and get norton 360 free HERE..

in regards to you original question tho yes.. an anti virus is one that deal with viruses, the internet suite is a full package that includes the anti virus part and more..
