They do think by next year those companies not affected will be by next year as 1000's will no longer use hamper companies, so they will in turn lose money and hence could end up going bust. Plus if shops do end up refusing all vouchers where does that leave everyone? Most affected by this have purchased the vouchers and not hampers so if vouchers become useless they don't have much of a business any longer.
How many on here who have lost money would use a hamper company again, be interesting to know if anyone would be brave enough to.
Hi Kez,
I for one WILL NOT be using any other hamper company, my family & friends have lost £4000 thanks to Farepak, my commission I normally give to our local hospice so they've lost out on £100 too, 11yrs of trust, out of the window.0 -
ambercfc wrote:Hi. I have lost out also thanks to Farepak...
I'm just wondering though, they went "bust" on Friday (unfortunately I didn't hear about it until Monday 16th, evening) surely the accounts they had with Natwest should have been closed straight away? I went into Natwest on Monday morning & paid in £460 which they allowed me to do. I feel that this is totally wrong & so does everyone that I have spoken to about it. I've tried to get the money back from Natwest but to no avail. The "customer services" guy had an awful attitude towards me & said "there's nothing I can do about it, I won't be accepting any more payments as from today. I didn't even know about the company going bust until last night. You'll have to get on to them about it". Baring in mind Farepak's website states that no payments will be accepted, why was mine??
i also paid in on monday dont worry it says on farepak website today that money paid in after they went into liquidation will be paid back once they find out who you are through the account numbers but that dont help all the others that paid in long before i paid in £600 on monday but when we get it back is anyones guess0 -

thanks Martin, you followed me - talking to JV, most nervous thing I've ever done, I've been in touch with my bank and you was right they had no idea what I was going on about, but after speaking to someone higher up they knew what you was on about, I'd added up that I'd paid £260 with my visa debit card, I've add to now put a claim in to get it back, they wasn't committing themselves to a yes no problems, refund in your bank tomz, but they did say they'd look at it and get back to me.
So thanks - and NO we'll never ever save with any hamper company again.0 -

I appreciate how you feel and I too would have loved to have put what I REALLY feel, but isn't it better to put something rather than nothing? It show's we have a voice, by putting nothing and if everyone does the same will it not show the directors that we don't care what they have done to us.
How about stating in your message that this not quite how you would like to have put your views but your version would be unprintable - that way they will get the message!!!~ What's for you, won't go past you! ~0 -

Thats very true I will have to have a careful think about what to put and how to get it across. I saw my MP to day and used F and P and few times, not directed at him (he understood that it was towards the directors) and he said that he'll put the voice forward...... and funnily enough one of the directors house is just a few miles away, I wonder if hes going to be in on Thrusday when i go past there.0 -

sazzlewhit wrote:Earlier this year we were asked by Farepak to supply them with bonusbond gift vouchers for their 2006 Christmas savings scheme. The first order was expected in mid-October but never materialised.
Surely if we have it in black and white from the company that supplies these vouchers, that this is what they have done, then there has to be a way of getting our money back somehow !!!!!
I way I read that was that earlier in the year they asked the bonusboind people if they could supply them, that was agreed and they were just waiting for the order to come through. Farepak died before mid-october arrived!
Everything Farepak said was right, they just didn't get to the point of ordering, the belief and the organisation that they were going to do that was there. I can't see how this actually proves anything.
Now if they were supposed to send the order back in August or September you'd be right in saying thats evidence.0 -
chrisandrob wrote:I heard back from my bank today, say they cannot go ahead with my visa debit chargeback until Farepak have decided how much we are getting back ,ask the administrators they said nothing they can do at the moment,as they dont know but will only be a small dividend ,very frustrating
Oh well, at least their aware of the claims going in, it's going to be one long waiting game for all of us.
I've told my kids £50 each max instead of £150 & neices & nephews £10 each instead of £25, to choose a gift from argos, so I can put it on my argos card and pay for it in the new year using the interest free offer they've got, if argos dont sell what they want they wont get it.
Shame Asda or Tesco's don't do the same, never mind just have to cut back on all the chocies etc, we can still enjoy each others company.
All the best to everyone. Fingers crossed we do get something back.0 -
How can this company who supply the bonus bond vouchers say Farepak was due to place/comfirm the first order in mid october, we can't add or change our order from 1st Sept, so why wait till OCtober to order the vouchers
The more we find out the more fishy this is starting to be - Farepak where obvouisly being kept going to pay the supplies of the Kleeneze products, WITHOUR MONEY, of which most of their agents are still waiting for. Should have shut the b****y lot down.0
