HELP - Name change charges on easy jet flights

Hi ANYONE!

I need to get a name change on an easy jet flight (nightmare) The original price of flight was £39.43 and to change a name is £30 plus the charge of flight on day you change it...so today (for friday 5th flight) the cost is £205.17 DAYLIGHT ROBBERY..

any advice? or a cheap number to call at easyjet that is not £1/minute...

If you do it yourself online via myeasyjet it is slightly cheaper. Make sure you get the new details correct. It's not really daylight robbery. All airlines have similar policies.

T&Cs are great! I didn't even book flight, trying to sort for family who are currently abroad!

It might be cheaper to book a new flight on a different airline, so may be worth doing a bit of a search.

Its easyjets terms and cons to be honest, You will be better as Richardw says to maybe look at alternative carriers

Rather than changing the name, whats the cost of a brand new ticket with Easyjet or another airline? Is there another airport nearby that may be cheaper?

All low cost airline and even some scheduled ones sting you if you want to change the name. Its to stop people buying up all the cheap sale tickets and then selling them on with the name changed. The main difference between Easyjeyt and Ryanair is that Easyjet charge a fee plus the difference in price whereas Ryanair just charge a flat (higher) fee.

Is it a name error or a different person travelling that was originally booked. I can understand your frustration if it is amending spelling etc however if a different person is travelling at this late stage then they should pay the cost of what the ticket costs to purchase the ticket as any new traveller would

If it's a spelling error or a change to a married name, they will correct it for free (apart from phone call).
