A new 'company' has just been registered via Go Daddy's privacy domain facility. CastDirectuk.com call themselves 'one of the best casting agencies in the UK' and yet they are using a FALSE address, the owners of which know nothing about them. In addition to this, the email address they have on the website bounces, and all models/extras pictured on the site lead to broken links. No phone number, no names..nothing. I got an email asking me to register with them, sent to a NEW and private email address that I've not long been using.

My thought is that they are going to take registration fees and do a runner, so if anyone gets an email of this nature, linking to this website....heed this warning and do your research!! There is something very wrong!!!

Looks like the owners of the site have now replaced the fake address with a contact form. No business would pick a London address at random and place it on their site as their 'business' address, and then hide behind a 'Go Daddy' privacy domain.

Isn't it the case that businesses in the UK have to give their details - or at least a trading address - on any website?
  • Thanks for the heads up! A friend of mine was talking about signing up there the other day.

Gee, what a surprise.....someone trying to scam wannabees.

The reason there are so many scams like this is that there is a never ending supply of wannabees who are so desparate to be 'famous' or a 'sleb'ridy' that they ignore all the scam warning signs.
