Thanks Cath - now that it's on here, we're properly committed! Moyra has even volunteered herself to a further period of cutting out all discretionary spending which is a definite first.
Froggy - excellent - pudding isn't pudding in my book unless a shedload of chocolate and about 1,500 calories are involved! That's a shocking revelation - you'll need to rectify that by shimmying up here are some point - just avoid the winter as it's colder even than Manchester!
Cheers,

Good luck to you both, I am planning on building my final house in about five years time, so I am watching this with interest!0

totally nuts. One suggestion, double garage not enough, 3 or 4 minimum. especially if you see kidlettes in your future and this home will be the forever ever ever homeMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

Well done on getting rid of the mortgage!! No doubt you will complete this challenge with the same determination and dedication that you did the last one:j:j
The plans for the new house look very grand and the kitchen sounds amazing, I have always wanted to design my own kitchen and am very jealous of your planned “island” in the middle:DMortgage @ 01.06.10 £165,999Mortgage @ 31.10.13 £14,6640 -
hey Billy
all sounds very exciting! (Moyra .... can I just say SATC walk in wardrobes sound amaaaaaaaaaaaazing!!)
dont have an awful lot of advice (except if it all falls thru and you want to put your hard earned savings towards a 2nd home in the southeast I could certainly rent my sofa to you for when you wanna visit :rotfl:) all sounds very exciting and such a gorgeous place to live...home is so important in having somewhere to relax, entertain friends and family etc and your new one sounds like it will be a fantastic place to live!
Im sure you will do great in your new quest!0 -
Billy, you are a bit nuts but i am glad you are sticking around. Parts of your house sound like my mum and dads. They have a pool (complete pain in the bum - loads of problems with keeping it mould free even though having people out all the time to look at it), games room - with bar and pool table, and the large kitchen diner complete with big island (which my mum and dad hate as everyone dumps things on it all the time.)
Sounds lovely, and it is good to have a dream - sounds like you will be here for a long time.0 -
Wow. fantastic exciting news..i for one am green with envy!
