Tools to clear awkward guttering

Hi,

I need to scoot up a lader and clear our gutters. Unfortunatly half of the gutters at the back of the house are hard to access as there is a conservitory in the way.

Is there some sort of tool that I can use to clear the gutters whilst up a ladder a few meter to the side of the area that needs clearing.

Hope this make sense!!

Cheers D

£15.99 for effectively a pole with a scoop on the end? Use a hoe if you have one. No wonder she's laughing so much!

Tie a trowel to the end of a bamboo pole.
Or even wrap an old shirt/cloth round the end and tie it firmly.
    Not hard to improvise!

The only issue with the improvised option as simple as it sounds is...

If I get it wrong and the trowel falls through the conservatory or neigbours conservatory roof I won't be popular!!

I saw that Betterware thing when someone delivered a catalogue but it didn't say how long it was and I thought that I will make my own from a broken window cleaner pole which was purchased from betterware many years ago. But ATM I am using it for a tree cutting tool with an improvised saw blade, so cleaning gutter will have to wait.

The end needs to be a scoop though and it needs to fit the guttering. The first attempt used a plastic milk bottle cut into a scoop but it was too big for the guttering. :( Very thin plastic so too flexible to cut small enough.

So might be worth looking in your cast off rubbish before rubbish day for likely contenders.

There is a folding semicircular flap that is normally used in conjunction with drain cleaning rods. It might well be the correct diameter to be used on guttering as well.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
