Removing car oil from a concrete/pathed back yard?

Hello can anyone help me with this dilemma???
I was fixing one of the cars, and had to do an oil change, unfortunately I spilled some oil on the floor of the backyard. I have tried using washing up liquid, bleach...etc., to clean it up, and nothing seems to want to shift it!
Can anyone give me any suggestions please, as in, how to remove the hideous black mark, that now lives on the floor of the backyard???

All suggestions will be greatly appreciated - unless it involves nuclear bombs!

To get rid of oil, first put down sawdust or cat litter to soak up any excess, leave for a couple of days, and sweep up.
Then apply cement mixture and do the same sweep up after a couple of days.
The sawdust cat litter will get rid of the residue, the cement wil actually absorb the oil from the concrete.I had a plan..........its here somewhere.0 -
Dont know if this will help but I had the same problem with my NEW block paving, only been down a few months.
I had loads of advice, from pouring coke (bottle type) over the stain, to bleach drive cleaner etc.
Someone suggested that I put down 'Swarfega', you know the stuff that you use to get oil and grease of your hands.
I sent Hubby to buy it, I meant for him to get the one in a 2 ltr container, but bless his little cotton socks he came back with the thick jelly Hand tub type.
We put that on the stain, worked it in with an old brush and left it over night, it seemed to have soaked up quite a bit of the stain, then we got some very hot soapy water and a stiff broom and washed it off.
I must admit it did the job, admittidly there was just a faint hint of stain left, so we did it again, and it went completely.:D
It worked for us, if you do give it a go, I hope it does the trick, but cause my hubby is a big un, he had the strength in his arms to get going with the broom, so maybe that helped as well.0 -

Thanks linda-ann...
I've got a definite plan of action now, i'm going to try your suggestion first, then cement mixture, swarfega, and finally, if all else fails, some 'gunk'.
I'll let you all know how it goes next week, when I try to tackle it...
Thanks to everyone who has left suggestions.:j
