OK, the November hunt is active, and the answer consists of 5 words. but until they reveal the image, I cannot post anything else.

As soon as the image is revealed, I will edit this post and we can all start ripping our brains out through our noses again.

Good luck guys.

I have emailed them, will wait and see how soon they fix it. the image should be at http://www.cashhunt.co.uk/clues/november2010.jpg but that currently gives 403 forbidden.

Going to http://www.cashhunt.co.uk/clues/ lists the images and it is clear that November 2010 is not there.

Well it turns out it is now a 2 word answer *wipes brow*, That should be a bit easier.

Here we go guys. I haven't looked at it myself, just going to pick my wife up from hospital.

Good Luck All

November 2010 - Treasure Hunt

WHERE H AND O O TO A BULL DO BELONG,
THE ONE WHO CAUGHT NO ONE WILL SOON LEAD YOU ON.
A FAKE STONE, THE PRINT NOTES A MERCHANT OF WHERE?
THIS TOWN HAS A KEY WITH SOME PALS, PLAN IT THERE.

A LINE BETWEEN 13 AND 7 WILL TELL,
ATTACH COLOUR A TO A WORD, YOU'VE DONE WELL.
WILL PY AND O HELP YOU NOW YOU MAY ASK,
WHERE RICK WILL CONFINE YOU, YOU FINISH YOUR TASK.

_ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _

The only thing I will say is
I thing the second word is likely to be prison, just based on the last line of text

But I haven't given this any thought as yet, so that could well be wrong.

The game is afoot.

  • Well I am struggling on the first line.

So far I have thought of Old Bull, Bull's Head, Old Bulls Head as pub names. But none use the second O - and I cannot find anything that would even remotely help with the second line :(

My first thought was that H and O O was H20 or water. However, as yet, I am unable to find anywhere called Bullwater.

    Queen Hoo is interesting :D

It's in/near a place named Tewin which has a Manor house. The Bull family had lots of connections and ownership for a couple of generations. link2

Just seen marg's post, theres also Tewin Water but can find no info
  • I think marg could be right with h2o and bulls water being thurso.

Then line 2 could be donald swanson who was born in thurso and in charge of the jack the ripper murders, hence the one who caught no-one.

    Yay, we're back! :D

Earlier on (before any comments we're posted) I was having a nosy at the third line and I came across the merchant ship 'Ouzel Galley' but I thought it was a dead end as it's an Irish ship and not from the UK, I couldn't find anything about where it was built, in case it was actually built here or anything, but it was the subject of a novel by 'W. H. G. Kingston' (maybe the book would have 'print notes'?) and I've just noticed that if the first two lines lead to Thurso and Donald Swanson then it says he was buried in Kingston Cemetery??

Edit: Actually, on the 'print notes' bit, just realised the book is called 'The Ouzel Galley, or Notes From an Old Sea Dog'
