Which would a Dr Who fan prefer the one available from the entainer or the controller one from toys r us.

The Toys R Us one definately as there will be fewer of them and some fans won't have a Toys R Us nearby/can't pay online.

But all of the hard core Doctor Who collectors I know have already got one of each as both masks have been available for several months now. The scarcity of these is nothing like the RC Dalek or battlepack with the Doctor figure last year.

I had a Battlepack last year which cost me £22 from Argos and I was offered £80 for it (which I ended up taking because it effectively paid for my missus' birthday in January)

My guess is that lack of scarity will limit the top price that will be paid as most of the more obsessive fans will already have one (or more). A lot of the others I know are being a lot more circumspect this year and waiting for the sales - I myself picked up the annual for 50p in February rather than pay £7odd.

I reckon it's going to be mostly parents that will be gouged by the "shortage" in the run up to Christmas. Good luck to ya cyberbayers.

They're not available online yet, it says awaiting stock.
They were available online at Boots - I got mine from there but I wonder if they are going to get anymore stock. I noticed that some of the other Doctor Who items like the Remote Control K9 (quite fancied on of those myself!!) have never been in stock.
  • what are the codes? i have never heard of codes for lxdirect am i missing something here?

according to my little live in expert
the mask with the brain shoeing is
the more desirable of the two.

I reckon the hardest one to get is
going to be the large K9.Lots of
places seem to be selling out.
  • Saw the large K9 in WHSmiths (loads of them) and the cyberman mask... 3 for 2 for all dr who stuff in smiths....

If you buy 3 of these (big family?) from Boots, they are on the 3 for 2 offer so you will get 3 for £60, which is £20 each!

I did this last year with the Power Rangers Megazords that were £30 each individually, or £60 for three. Two of my sons friends from school were as desperate for this as he was, so we grouped together.

And dont forget to wait until Boots have one of their Christmas evenings on (see other posts for more info) and you can also pick up a nice lot of extra points (I recall it was something like 1500 points on £50 spend last year-result!!)

  • Thanks for the tips on this. I've been looking for a good deal and £16.99 from LXDirect is just what I was looking for. Shame I missed the Darth Vader @ bargaincrazy because I've been waiting for them to come down in price.
