Grab one!
Hands who remembers back to 2003 when some idiot suggested this idea and the topic kept us busy for weeks until the person strangly disappeared from the board, I wonder if speeding got the better of him.
It is so obvious that this person is senseless - why do you need a detector when you can see the big yellow boxes DOH.
I will probably end up going to another childs funeral because of idiots like this :mad:Rememember. Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.
Never pass up an opportunity to go to the bathroom.
If you woke up breathing, congratulations! You get another chance. And finally, be really nice to your family and friends; you never know
when, You might need them to empty your bedpan.0 -
If I run somebody over whilst checking my speedo if I am not speeding who is to blame? me or the person who stepped into the road.
We need not speed cameras but traffic police at the roadside and more police in our towns and cities on the streets not money making scams.0 -
Does this do those ones with the big red eye that catch you face on? I thought only GPS systems knew where they were because they used a different type of technology.
Also I heard, about the laser mobile detectors, that once you've detected the laser that its too late and you've already been caught. The only way to not get caught by them is to have a scrambler - and they ARE illegal.0 -
Hey, I offer the info for what it's worth. It's a half price deal on a speed trap detector. That's it, take it or leave it. It's information for anyone considering buying such a thing, that's all.
I've learnt a lot from the more intelligent posts here. Calling me a idiot however is not constructive nor is there any need to get into a debate on the rights and wrongs of speeding.0 -
not wishing to start a debate, can anyone here say they have never ever gone over the speed limit/ I dont image so , plus the orginal poster was just pointing us all to another bargain.
Well spotted, im sure lots of reps, van drivers etc people who drive all day long will be looking to purchase this item.my bark is worse than my bite!!!!!!!!0 -
I am sorry but I am going to have to lock this thread until Abcon or MSE2 Controller looks at it.
As these are illegal, I wouldn't want the site to be in any trouble for advertising this. IMO
If I'm wrong it will be re-opened, by Abcon or MSE2.:)0 -
I think the issue here is that we cannot allow this to drift into a discussion over speeding, nor can we be seen to condone speeding. However, as far as i know, there is still something of a grey area regarding the purchasing and operation of speed camera detection equipment. It is not an area i have any specialist knowledge in, but i assume from the fact that many reputable retailers sell them, that it cannot be illegal to buy them. What i believe is illegal, or a grey area at least, is the operation of these devices.
With that in mind, i think we have to acknowledge the intelligence of our community and allow them to make their own minds up about this. What has been posted is an offer on something that can be bought, the operation thereof is subject to debate.
I think it would be best if i now close this thread to stop further debate, but make it clear that MSE cannot condone speeding or the use of speed camera detection devices.
If anyone is more learned on this area, and feels that my limited knowledge on this area is incorrect, please PM me and i will take the necessary action.
Bottom line though folks is that speeding is illegal so be careful.0
