Yes, an e-saver with £1 in cancels out the £10/month banking fee.0

Have FD changed their T&C recently? To qualify for £100 bonus they now require to use Easyswitch service and have at least 2 DDs or standing orders.
I was hoping that transferring 1.5k to and fro each month would qualify. But I am afraid it is not the case any more.

Sounds exactly like the £100 bonus T&Cs that they had 3 years ago, when I "switched". I told them which 2 DDs to transfer, and not to close my other current account.0 -
Thank you for your reply, innovate.
I am afraid I don't have any regular direct debits or standing orders on my current account. I pay with my debit card and cheques.

You could try and call them, may be they will make an exception if you have convincing reasons for not having/needing any DDs. No idea though how desperate they are for new customers.0

Alas. The FD Reg Saver is no more. Mine just matured and I went to open a new one . . . . . Gone. :mad:0

Yes, looks like it's not offered any more, thacky.
As an update to my previous post, in November last year I have successfully opened a First Direct and Regular Saver 8% accounts and received my £100 reward. Prior to that I set up a bunch of direct debits to various charities which I still hold to date.

I've opened one (a Reg Saver) with Norwich & Peterborough but it's 'only' 4% and with a max of £250 per month. Am keeping an eye out for others but it is important to me to be able to apply and manage it all online - can't be doing with branches or post etc - and I don't want one that is tied to a current account with another bank.0
