Tyres for Toyota Yaris and Quotes for other work?

Good morning everyone!

I have a 1.3 Toyota Yaris that is a full automatic.
I went to my local garage to get my fan belt changed and have been told that my tyres will need changing very soon, and have been quoted £47+VAT per tyre. I've done a search here and see that there are tyres that are cheaper, but not sure which ones would be best for my car type Can anyone recommend some tyres for me?

I mainly drive about London, and occasionally it may get driven on the motorway. I'm disabled with back and neck problems so would ideally like something to soften the feel of the many speed humps I go over!

I've also been told that the o/s/f shock absorber is leaking £150+VAT and the centre + rear exhaust need changing £250+VAT.

Does this sound about right? Is there any way for me to bring the price down?

TIA

When you drive the car can you smell KIPPERS? Sounds like your being stitched up like one.

Front shock about £80 for a decent branded one, Cheaper ones on ebay who made by ?

You could get a custom stainless exhaust made for £250 last forever.
Cheapo metal one less than £100 complete. Not just the rear section.

Different brands of tyres will not make much difference to the suspension. Softer tyres grip better
    but then wear out faster.

Soften speed bumps = drive slower over them. I can get a decent queue just in the supermarket
    carpark alone.
