Cheap place for tyres?

You have lots of choices to choose from
Main Dealer (notas stupid as it sounds if you have done your homework they mht beat your best price when challenged)
Independent Tyre places (No good for me but I have heard Micheldever Tyres are good)
Chains eg Kwik Fit etc (sometimes have good deals but you have to put up with the up-selling)
Small Online Places (there are some small places that advertise on EBay and might be worth a call)
Now the places that I would concentrate my search on (online retailers):-
MyTyres
Black Circles
Camskill
There are others too that you will find using Google.
Remember to compare like for like and check to see if fitting is included or not. If not add about £10 per tyre.
I'm sure ohers will be along with some more ideas soon.0 -
Costco is good for tyres if you have one near you and are/know a member0

I always use eTyres or Tyre Fit Direct. Good prices and they come to your home or workplace to fit the tyres. Sooo much easier.0

Interseting, I've just had a look at my tyres (4x4) and both these places are pretty dear.
But I'll bear them in mind for the wee car.0 -
Another vote for Black Circles. Had a few from them, had no problems and always been a good price. Google about, there have been a few voucher codes for them as well. Last order was for a Continental, had a 10% voucher, came in half what Kwik Fit charged me year previous.0

I've also brought from mytyres.co.uk a couple of times before. But then you have to go and get the fitted, so unless the saving is huge, I'd rather use eTyres or TyreFitDirect and let them come to me.
The Oxfordshire eTyres fitter/franchisee was an excellent guy. Never seen a tyre fitter be so conscientious. He cleaned the alloys with a rag before using the stick on weights and even used a hand torque wrench on the wheel nuts...and looked up the correct torque setting! He also added some copper grease to the rear of the alloys to stop them sticking on the hub (as mine had).0
