But what happens if they say no? do I have to leave them and pay off the balance? I'm already in an agreement with capital one as they wanted to up my interest to 34.9, so i've had to agree never to use my card again and cancel my account as soon as the balance is clearer so will get nowhere with them.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

I've already tried barclaycard and like I said they wouldn't because I'd had a payment that was a day late in the past year.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Well I think as you have surplus money at then end of the month you need to snowball...paying the higher rate cards/debt first.

Well a £500 mondeo would still be as safe as a more modern and expensive supermini. If it is possible to change cars, look at that class as their values literally drop through the floor and for £1000 you'd be able to get a car that is only about 5 years old, reliable and safe plus has lots of room for the kids and their stuff. How long have you been driving yourself? Might be worth you going out with your husband in your car and getting him to practice that way in between lessons. Read some of the books available and you won't let him slip into bad habits. This will work out cheaper than lots more lessons imo. Only trouble with that though, is that it might add a bit to your insurance.
Best of luck with your debtThis is getting addictive!

My mondeo was £900 two years ago (P reg, 2.0l). Since then I've done 40k miles and not broken down ONCE! (Now I've said that.... lol). I do the servicing myself, unless it's something that I don't have the tools to do, or the strength! I have a very reliable and very cheap mobile mechanic that I can call on for the big stuff, but the parts are dirt cheap from scrappys.BCSC # 9 and proud! :beer:0
