    Hello everyone,

I know it's almost Wednesday but could I please join in?

I have been fluttering on and off for just over 3yrs but lost the plot a bit when I had PND after my daughter was born (Sept 2007) & I was made redundant in the same week! I was diagnosed when she was 7 months old and was then doing really well on my first anti-ds but the doctor changed them when DD turned 1, to some that made me sleep all day! I couldn't function at all so changed again, to prozac, which helped a bit but it was only when I stopped taking them a year ago I realised what a zombie I had been for the entire time :( It was literally like waking up one morning and seeing that a hurricane had been through our flat - I was completely oblivious to it before!

I have spent the past year stopping and starting, my routines are non existent now, and my little 2 bed flat is overflowing with... just junk I guess! There is me, my DH, DS who is almost 5, and DD who is 3 living here, plus we have another baby due in April  Space is desperately needed, we have accepted there is no way we can move into a house at the moment so we need to fit all 5 of us in here as easily and tidily as possible!

I know Flylady works, my home used to be beautiful and practically effortless to keep that way - I just need a kick up the backside to get it back that way before April!

Every room also needs decorating before baby comes, but I need to unearth the rooms first :rotfl:

I will start tonight by shining my sink and remembering to put the dishwasher on... And laying out my clothes!

Looking forward to getting to know you all :D

Am I right in thinking I need a newbie christmas tree!?:xmastree:

    welcome jenagain...

sounds like you have a mammoth task ahead of you so take it easy there - don't overburden yourself and level one it for a while...
as we are so fond of saying - your home didn't morph iinto a tip overnight and it won't become a placae overnight. Little and often and enjoy the flings.

Welcome - we don;t usually bother with the American Flylady stuff of laced shoes, and all that :) Start tomorrow, and please don;t try to catch up - Man and Tue jobs will come around again next week :D

If you're overwhelmed, just start with level one, and a couple of your own jobs, and build up slowly :T

And on that note, I'm off to bed with Audrey Nifferknickers, and a small slice of HM chocolate cake.

Goodnight, and see you all tomorrow (which is Friday for me :j )

Valli & Penelope Penguin - I have no intention of attempting too much this time! I will definitely be starting at level one while I get back into it - this pregnancy is making me far more tired than I remember last time, plus I have to do a 2 mile school run twice a day which is a bit of a killer!

And I'm glad you don't go the whole hog lace up shoes and all, I can't stand all the really cheesy stuff, and definitely don't need to wear shoes more than is absolutely necessary!

I do have to lay my clothes out though, right next to the bed so I put them on as soon as I get up, otherwise I end up in my pjs til about 30secs before we have to go out the door :rotfl:

Moam - what about decorations? Most children like something they can hang up at home. If you have a camera and printer you could do ones with their photo on. http://www.allfreecrafts.com/christmas/index.shtml some possible ideas
jenagain grab a bin bag, put it somewhere you walk past a lot and every time you go past put at least 1 thing in it, makes a difference

Totally forgot to phone the hairdressers so I'm a bit annoyed with myself but ended up being a very busy day. Ended up doing not a thing at home in between the busy day and meeting at the pub, now I'm too tired

    Oh well always tomorrow....
One day I might be more organised...........

Finally finished the Kitchen tonight so feel i can post, its only taken two days to get back to flylady standards going to start the living room tomorrow so will hopefully be back before the next thread starts!!

Have had two very busy days at work, yesterday was prelim prep and today was the start apart from the 40 mins we spent outside as one of the boys in Home Ec over cooked his steam pudding in the microwave and we had to wait for the fire brigade to okay the building (fireman didnt even come to check that we were all okay:cool::cool:) all done over the phone and a mobile unit.

Will manage a start on the LR when i get home tomorrow.

Waiting on DH to arrive home and then will cook dinner so in the meantime can I get the rest of these shoeboxes covered??

Question for those of you with infant school aged children - what sort of quick crafts would your children like to do at a Christmas event? I've run the craft room a few times but I'm lacking new ideas - things I've thought of are

Christmas placemats (card, decorate, then laminate)
    Bookmark
Christmas cards - always popular and easy to do different styles for different ages
Christmas cracker - one of those easy kit ones - decorate & fill?

or radically - help to make a huge joint picture in the hall?

    Moam

Oooh this takes me back a bit.

When I was in infants (25+yrs ago) I made a christmas tree decoration. It was a star made from card covered in glitter with a ribbon to hold it on and my mum still brings them out every year:T.
If you can spend a bit maybe laminated small pictures with magnets glued on the back that can be put on fridges?
