David Lloyds membership problem

Hi!
Our case is the following. We joined couple months ago, asked to get gym+racquet package for off-peak times and paid for the whole year. After joining we used both gym and racquet facilities and staff was aware of that.
Now, the gym said we have no right to use racquet facilities unless we pay higher amount for the rest of the year.
In our copy of the written agreement there is nothing filled for the membership type but their copy has 'gym only'. Obviously that was added after signing.
To complicate matter more, the sales man who dealt with us is no longer working for the gym. In case of David Lloyd the price information is not available anywhere outside sales staff's folders so it
would not have been possible for us to check whether we paid the right amount.
So far there hasn't been too much progress between us and the gym. They offered small discount for the extra fee but for us the case is that we said what we wanted, paid the asked price and do not want to pay extra.
Any advice on this?

Escalate it to the Manager with a complaint in writing.
Adding something to a contract after signing is a major no no (and dont lose your copy)
Salesman was maybe doing this a lot and maybe got pushed.
If you have the agreement in writing stick to your guns and dont let them bully you.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
