Attempted car break in!!

As per title, while pon life were attemping to break in, I now find cental locking is goosed, it's a two door Mercedes SLK, folding tin top, I can enter and use car, I can't open the boot though (passenger/driver door I have to lock manually) no matter what mode, key fob, or using key, which wont go in anyway. I tried to open roof part way, with a view of perhaps being able to do something using this method to gain access to boot, any Merc owners out there know if roof can be opened by dealer via laptop and codes, or any other ideas will be gratefully recieved?

Thanks in advance.

  • Cant you fold the seat down and access the boot from inside to release lock?

I investiaged this possibilty, looks pretty complex and tight for space, I suppose this is to do with folding roof mechanism? Being a two seater, seats don't fold down.

    Thanks for the reply.
  • Hi

Suggest you post your question on one of the MB forums e.g.
    http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/index.php

I have found this useful in the past.

Alternatively, you may find your local MB dealer more helpful than you think?

    Good luck

Brilliant and thanks a million, I found a place only 2 minute drive from home, I thought it was a limo hire business, I think the mech has a unit with the limo area, I'll give him a call tomorrow.

Have one on me and thanks again :beer:
