How devastated his family must be. There can be nothing worse than the death of your own child.
I do hope as a God Parent, as sad as you feel, you find the strength to support the parents in their dark hour.
"Dark Hour" A figure of speech, actually the rest of their lives.

When we sign up to be Godparents, we think of guidance. We think of a nice gift at Graduation. God forbid we never think we will attend their Funeral.
So, so sorry for where you find yourself, but as a Godparent, you must muster some strength fron somewhere to support the parents.
As a Godparent you are in pieces. Think then, how his parents feel!

I just want to say thank you for all your kind words, they bring a sense of support. I am spending the day with his dad today , as they lost his mum to breast cancer 4 years ago so he has asked me if I am upto helping him with the arrangements for the funeral.As much as I feel like I want to curl up in the corner any cry I know that I need to be strong for myself and others who are suffering with the loss as well.So we are meeting the vicar at my house this afternoon to arrange the service and the undertaker who is doing the funeral is a friends husband so he is also coming this evening after work to talk about his role , I know I will gather strength in helping as much as I can .You are all wonderful on here for the support and such kind words you give when it is needed.I thank you so much for that .
