I was wondering if anyone knows how easy is it to get a Capital one World Mastercard or the EGG World card.
The website says that you are more likely to accept you if you have had credit cards in the past. I have a barclaycard which I use at the moment and a Halifax card. Would I need to close them so I get this card.
There appears nothing on the Egg card website to suggest what you need to get a card. So I am at a loss to know what to expect.

Certainly don't close your existing cards first (unless perhaps you had several other cards as well and these have large unused limits).
I don't know what the criteria is for acceptance - from what you say it sounds like they just want to filter out people who've not got a credit history.0 -
I dont have any borrowings on the cards. I wouldnt say there was a high credit limit either.0

Certainly better to leave them open then - they want to see how you are handling similar accounts at the moment and in the past - if you don't have other open credit cards you'll find it much harder to get a new "prime" card as there's no current information about you responsibly handling a similar account.
Once open though it may be wise to close one or both of the other cards, your choice really and depends on the limits.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

I am going to try for the AMEX card first. The 5% would help me over Christmas.0
