Hi,
My ex left me to pay our joint mortgage, he hasn't paid for over a year now and I have credit card and other debts to pay too. money is very tight and I dont have any disposable income at all. What can i do?

I would suggest that the first thing you should do is to talk to either a decent IFA or directly to your mortgage lender as you need to keep them informed and see what can be done to lower your monthly payments as much as possible. This may be done in conjunction with a full financial review to see what can be done about your unsecured debts.0

Do you have equity in the property - are you able to sell? I think you would need to provide some additional information such as mortgage value & income to get more specific help. Have you considering renting a room to a lodger?0 -
Let your mortgage company know you are struggling - it's much better to keep them informed than to rack up arrears and penalties. There may be options such as switching to interest-only, freezing interest or having a short payment holiday depending on how generous your bank is. I'd also strongly recommend you post over at the DFW board where they can give you very helpful advice on looking at your income and outgoings each month, and are very supportive.poppy100
