Most don't come with incentives for as young as 16.
Most banks do an under 18s account.
Basically at his age its mainly about convinience....0 -
Our daughter has an account with Barclays and has a debit card. She also does online banking with it. So far it's been OK. Only took 3 days to get up and running with card & internet.0

My daughter has a revolve account with RBS and has a debit card doesn't have any benefits that I am aware of.0

Nationwide offer a flexaccount with a Visa debit card, chequebook, telephone and internet banking for 16 year olds.
They also offer money off driving lessons and things when your son is old enough.Young moneysaver in the making
