Where to start with Adoption - help please

Not sure if this is the right place to put this.
I got married 4 weeks ago, i have a 6 year old from a previous relationship and a 2 year old with my husband. My daughter is taking my husbands name along with me but he has decided he would like to adopt her.
Her dad is not named on her birth certificate and is not on the scene. I do get csa money from him but he denied she was his and refused a DNA so the csa assumed he was her father as he was not willing to prove otherwise.
has anyone been in a similar situation? where did you start? whats the process? I am in SCotland so its Scottish law it will be under.
I am going to phone the csa this week to withdraw my claim from them.
I also like to know how much roughly we are looking at for lawyers fees for this if anyone can tell me what they had to pay.
