Method & cost of entry:

· PRTS Phone - call 09012 934 500 and follow instructions; up to 3 entries per phone number. Each call costs £1.00 from BT landlines.

· SMS text – send a SMS text to 88550 with A, B or C to indicate your answer to the question; up to 3 entries per phone number. SMS entrants will receive a SMS reply message acknowledging their SMS entry and inviting them to enter the competition via SMS a second time using the same mobile number to receive an additional entry into the competition without charge. Entrants who then send a second SMS text with their answer to 88550 by the competition closing date and time will be entered into the draw three (3) times for a chance to win the prize. Each of the SMS entrant’s first two (2) SMS text entries costs £1.00 plus one standard network rate message.

· Red Button – Sky and Virgin Media viewers press the red button on their remote control; up to 3 entries per phone number. Each red button entry costs £1.00.

· Online – go to www.itv.com and follow the instructions; up to 3 entries per phone number.

Prize:

· A cheque for £5,000 (five thousand pounds);

Yet again, I have been told I've exceeded the allowed number of entries when I have not. This is happening a hell of a lot lately.

Are you sure? Some of the comps were 5 entries per phone number but are now 3 entries per phone number.

Yep, it's not that hard to count to 3 and on this comp I had only entered twice!! As I said it has happened on a few ITV Comps lately, more so since they have reduced the number of entries to only 3.

PS I've emailed them when it's happened before to me, a few times in fact. Sadly I've never had a reply.

That's often the problem with net forums.We all post with good intentions in the main but others may read our words in ways in which we never intended.Some find the use of exclamation marks as somewhat akin to shouting.Some use smileys as they were never intended to make a point.
I have made this point in the past on here that it is so easy to be misconstrued with our short bullet type posts.
