Advice on using Wizzair and Luton Airport

Just after a few pointers on the pro's/cons of Wizzair and general opinion of Luton Airport ( Parking in particular )
Looking at booking a Wizzair flight from Luton to Kiev at end of November returning beginning of December. I have read some damning reports on them, but also some glowing reports. Is it really a case of pay less and take your chances ?
I notice that they charge £4 each way for Mastercard but only £2 for Bank Transfer - is it wise to use Bank Transfer for the sake of £4? (Because of the Credit Card S75 Protection )
Also, according to their own website - airport checkin is currently free because they do not have an on-line option at the moment :T
Also need parking at Luton - Looking at Airparks as I have used them in the past (Edit: not at Luton ) with good results. Any others to consider? :T

How much are you saving compared to BA and Ukraine Airlines?
BA comes in at about £220 - but then have to either park at Heathrow ( expensive ) or catch a coach ( National Express approx £42 + £8 Taxi to pick-up point due to 03:55 start)
Ukraine Airlines is about the same (£200) - but from Gatwick which is even further.
Wizzair is approx £140 ( With baggage ) + Airport Parking.“That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.”0 -
Have used Wizzair from Luton, was very impressed. I have a love/hate relationship with Luton Airport. I love it because it's close to home, and you don't have to walk three miles from check in to the gate.
I hate it because you have to pay to use a trolley, and because the pick up/drop off parking situation is atrocious (although if you have used Airparks before and are happy with that then it's not a problem).
I would go for it. But I would always use a credit card.0 -
I've used Wizzair from Luton on at least 15 or 20 occassions and they've got me from A to B. Don't get me wrong - yes there are baggage restrictions, and once or twice I've had some delays but generally I've had no problems with them and have found them considerably cheaper than other airlines. Twice I managed to get £20 return flights by flying out with Wizzair from Luton and flying back with Raynair to Stanstead.
Last time I booked tickets with them in August I paid via an online transfer (yes for the sake of saving £4) and it was just as easy as paying with a card, may have taken a couple of seconds extra as I had to log onto internet banking.0 -
Airparks is fine, but it is off the airport, fairly easy to find though and about 10 minutes away. There is a free bus though, so no problem with the dropping off charge.
They were good for us during the volcanic ash - waived all extra parking charges so get my vote!0
