Old Websites

Hi ive just managed to get hold of a well known domain tops all search engines and has a PR of 5 ,does anyone know of anyway that i could get a screen shot of what the website used to look like ? i want a website which does the same kind of thing so it still appeals to all the backlinks it has already ...

Any help would be great

  • To get a screenshot, press Print Screen key, or Alt+Print Screen for just the active window. This puts it in the clipboard and then open Paint and paste it in.
  • Think you misunderstood me , i know how to do a screen shot, my questions is :

Is there any way you can retrieve an old website screenshot.

Ive just brought a top domain name and wish to see what the old website used to look like

Google for internet archive, or something similar, can't remember the url. It saves old copies of webpages. :)

  • Ah, I see what you mean! Google's cache may also have it.
  • Ok another question , if the site and the product was copyrighted but now the site doesnt exsist and the product no longer works , would i be able to recreate it under the same name ?

This is more a legal issue. You should try and contact whoever owns the copyright, take advice if necessary. Just because the website doesn't exist, it doesn't mean a copyright or other protection isn't in place.
