  • Some great ideas here so I'm not knocking them at all. :T

If you can bear the wait, Sperdrug and BHS usually put things on sale the week before Christmas. After Christmas they are sometimes even cheaper so you can start for next year (which I have done before) however you have to consider the cost to your pocket if money is needed elsewhere

£4.99? thats a good price. if they are the same as the hawkins bazaar ones, thats a saving of about £3-£4

bought some of these for my brother today - fab, and look (and work) just as well as the ones that sell for twice the price elsewhere

dont know if anyone else has spotted them but superdrug have some good little toys for £4.99 ive got the 'racing grannies' you wind em up and off they go on their zimmer frames!!

They're on Firebox too but at £7.95 but you can get a £5 voucher from the freebies board at the moment. Might be useful if you can't track them down.

You can look at the racing grannies here

Just been to Tescos and they have girly items there going for £1.50 AND they are on the 3 for 1 offer. Great for stocking fillers or birthday party bags. I've just bought loads :j :j

50ml bottles of shower gel, bath bubbles or lotion with hairband included.
Pink make-up brush set and flower shaped hinged hand mirror.
Set of 3 small nail varnish bottles each a diff colour.
Set of 2 glitter lip gloss tubes pale & dark pink.
Set of 2 eye shadow palettes, 3 diff colour in each palette & both sets diff colours.
Pale blue toenail painting set inc metal file, toe spreaders, cuticle tool, metal nail clipper & a foot shaped something (?).

The sets can easily be broken up into singles so for example I bought 3 nail varnish sets, one is free according to 3 for 2 offer and if you split them up you get 9 small pots for £3 :T :T This works for the lip gloss, 6 for £3, and the eye shadow, 6 for £3 as well :rotfl:

I discovered these in my Tescos today and invested in a few. I was on the hunt for some party bag gifts, and these are just ideal. Like you say, you can separate them all and that's just what I intend to do. I have managed to fill 5 party bags at a fraction of the price I thought I would have to spend!

I bought some packs of the nail varnish and some lip gloss in the shape of lollipops - there were 3 in each pack, so I have some left over for stocking fillers. :j I finished off with a pack of cheap hairbands and some gel pens that were reduced to 50p for a pack of 10 - enough for 2 each. Am really pleased with my bargains.

My first post, so please be gentle..;)

Wilko's have packs of jelly lollies at 5 for 50p, which seemed a bargain - they're a bit smaller than the individual ones but who would know. Also, Poundsavers have 4 small candles in pots on a saucer base - 4 for £1 - bargain !

Great ideas from this site - I've been skulking for ages and picking up all sorts of suggestions - you've all saved me a fortune this year !:j
I was going to take over the world but got distracted by something sparkly.......
  • I was in Tesco and they were selling off Haloween stuff, I bought a skull ice tray for 1p! some of the stuff wasnt suitable but thought this was quirky especially if you know a Goth/Emo/Rocker type like me, i would use it all year around!!
    I WILL get to uni........eventually
