Can anybody please tell me if I get a 0% credit card, will the 0% still apply to spending abroad? (New York)
Is this the best option?
Or should I go for a best abroad card??? which wont be a 0%

If you use your card abroad for shopping not cash withdrawal you'll still get the 0% interest but you'll still be charged exchange rate and fee depending on your card....0

They don't distinguish between where you made the purchase when it comes to 0% cards.
So if, say, you had a 12 month purchases card with a typical 2.75% forex loading, you would be paying 2.75% overseas for 12 months credit. Put it through a 0% loading card (Santander zero, Halifax clarity, Post Office) then you may get a reduced 0% period but no loading.
Beware of Tesco - they use their own exchange rate which they then load anyway. So you might be paying 5% or more to use their card overseas against which their 12 month 0% on purchases might not look so good.0
