Here's a pic of mine I made a few years ago from pallets. Obviously it's full to the brim at the moment.

Yours looks really good W5onky! I need to cut up the pallets - those were used for storing the wood off the ground over the summer but I have now got alternative accommodation for my wood.

Yes, I felt it was a bargin as I could never have made it myself. I like the feathered (?) overlapping wood panel roof too.
  • That would only keep me in a months burning, Mine goes around the garden about 10 mtrs long.;)

I love log stores! Here's mine made out of pallets for free in 4 hours. Now stuffed with wood and had to make an extension! :)

We have three - all looking much the same as Swipes :) but with a sloping roof. (Wonkys has a posher roof than ours :)) and then a long low pile on pallets further down our garden. Its ridiculous how much they charge for these things.

Here is mine in a old garage excuse the mess I use it for storage and working in

I leave garage door open during day unless it is raining heavy

I use garage for storing paint, garden pots, bikes, washing machine (not sued at mo just bought it then moved hosue and house had one installed) then two seats for garden over winter

Frame made with wood got from B&Q

Then a put some old pallet wood in at bottom to make it safe so wood doesnt all tumble forward and used some wire too

I home made it 3 years ago.

I also have back up reserves in my garage. Once the log store is depleted it gets filled back up from the garage stock. My garage is a wind tunnel so it seasons just fine in there. The log store is directly outside the back door and doesn't need to be unlocked to get wood out :).
