Former abbey national loan ppi - what to do?

Hiya,

I'm attempting to reclaim PPI for an old Abbey National loan on my mothers behalf. I started off by sending a letter to Santander with the original loan details on it, to which they have replied saying that the loan was invalid and sent the original letter back to me. Has anyone who has had successfully reclaimed an old Abbey National loan dealt directly with Santander? Or is there a separate address/ unit that still deals with Abbey National matters?

What exactly did they mean the loan was invalid? Sorry if i have mis read on this.

So the loan was set up and sold by Abbey I take it?

There are a few addresses below, if you require any data use the top one...

However, its best to send by recorded delivery, you can then check out the status of delivery and keep a check on the 8 weeks they have, and they will or should forward to the relevent dept within Abbey.

Hi there, do you have the original paperwork? if you do this will be better, send a copy. If they cannot find this loan from the details you wrote in your letter then it could be this loan was from a very long time ago.Abbey are good with mis sell claims so if they cannot find this loan then it is possible you have got a digit or 2 wrong with the loan number?.

Realise this is a zombie thread

I'm not having much joy claiming on an old abbey loan despite sending copy bank statements showing loan accs. Still havent heard following sending these in
