Over 65 long stay ins

I am trying to find travel insurance for my my 66 year old mum to visit me in OZ. She has high blood pressure but otherwise in perfect health.
Anybody know of any insurance companies who are not going to quote £500!
She coming for 3 months which also seems to be a problem once over 65!
It all seems crazy when the retirement age is 66 now but you get penalised for long stay holidays ....
The thing is, in oz they have a reciprocal agreement so she would be covered for any treatment as long as she signed up for a temporary medical card.
Thanks for any help/advice.

Try Nationwide.
We've just been to USA and are both in our 50's. I have high BP (3 tablets....they seem to quote higher for more than 2) plus another complaint which isn't as important as BP.
Tried loads of companies...some were in the £000's!!! but if I remember correctly think Nationwide was in the £70's, they were even better than Saga who we used 2 years ago.0 -
Nationwide quote $402.81 !!0

Try Insure and go. I am 65 and my partner 63. Their gold policy covers upto 90 days per trip. They quoted us $148 (pounds). For some conditions they will qoute an extra premium. Call them on 08000838333. I am about to insure with them soon. Enjoy the trip0

Try age concern for their travel insurance, i recently got insurance for my mother who is 68 and has various health issues, copd, and she has had breast cancer twice, the second cancer being only a year and a half ago and she has recently finished chemo, they quoted me £180 for 2 weeks holiday in Canada but also they had a special offer on if you went for a annual policy and it was £183. I am not sure however what zone NZ is in on their system also i am not sure what the limit is on how long each trip can be. But it might be worth a look as with other insurance i was getting silly amounts on quotes. Hope this helps.0
