Discrepancy of information given to myself and mp from tax credits

Tax credits told my mp that my backdated amount previously recalled for checks was sent today (thursday) I have spoken to the helpline and they have said to me that they have no record of this and my award was in fact reprofiled on thursday and I would recieve the owed amount over the remaining weeks
Does this sound right to you? Why would they of told the mp on thursday it had been sent and even stated it had on my record not to recall it again
At a absolute loss now as to what there doing, my normal weekly amount has gone in, it hasnt changed but dont know if this weeks was too late and sent before the reprofiling, (in bank today but mondays payday)
If they had in fact sent me the previous recalled payment on thursday wouldnt it in fact be showing up now on online banking? (any monday transactions show up on my account on the previous sat)

Have just spoken to them again and they have said my payments will be in fact £55 a week less from next week!! How on earth can the amount of changed like that, we are on IS so are entitled to the maximum amount so how can they of reduced it when we havnt even received the amount showing on my last award notice that they have said we have!0
