    Personally i prefer Wickes, and often choose to travel further to go to Wickes, think i prefer Wickes because its quieter than the local B&Q, plus their catalogue makes a handy reference when looking for tools / materials etc.

    Did mention that in regard of the other catt. ( screwfix/tool station)
    So you would drive past BQ to wickes to buy .... e.g Dulux white paint at the same price
    because ' its quieter' ???

    Go to BQ stick fingers in ears , save petrol!

    I personally go for the shops with the more helpful staff.

    Friendly helpful staff are more influential in my shopping than how close I am to a particular store.

    Only done some small projects but I am looking into larger things atm; the friendlier stores will get my business.:)
